Get up close to the lives of Istanbul locals on this full-day walking tour. Stroll along Istiklal Avenue from Taksim Square, and enjoy a ferry ride on the Bosphorus. Disembark at Besiktas, and take a relaxing stroll to Kabatas, passing breathtaking Dolmabace Palace along the way. At Kabatas, ride the subway to Taksim. Considered the heart of modern Istanbul, Taksim Square is a major shopping, tourist, and leisure district famed for its restaurants, shops, and hotels. While here, your guide will lead you down famed Istiklal Avenue, a broad and lively pedestrian byway lined with shops, restaurants, and cafes housed in an assortment of 19th-century buildings.

From here, head to Galata Tower, a 14th-century stone guard post, from atop which you can take in stellar views of the city. Move on to Karakoy, one of the Istanbul’s oldest and most historic districts. Then look west toward Europe and east toward Asia as you cross the Golden Horn via the Galata Bridge, before finishing your tour at the busy port of Eminonu.
